VAN NUYS, Calif. / January 28, 2019 / GENERAL AVIATION NEWS – Castle & Cooke Aviation welcomes Dean Williams, general manager at its Everett, Washington, (KPAE) location, to its dedicated management team.

As general manager, Mr. Williams is responsible for directing all FBO activities serving diverse clientele—including the company’s core corporate and general aviation customers—along with the soon-to-be initiated scheduled airline service at Paine Field Airport.

Mr. Williams joins the Castle & Cooke Aviation team with more than 20 years of experience in airline and airport management and operations, having formally served as director of fuel administration, and corporate manager of fuel operations and infrastructure with a major airline, overseeing more than 100 domestic and international airports.  In addition to these roles, Mr. Williams was chairman of airline fuel consortiums at Seattle (KSEA) and Portland, Oregon, (KPDX) airports, and an executive board member at airports in Los Angeles (KLAX), San Francisco (KSFO) and Anchorage, Alaska, (PANC) with leadership responsibilities for fueling operations, finances and airport contract agreements. Mr. Williams also served as general manager of SEA for 10 years.

Furthermore, Mr. Williams comes to Castle & Cooke Aviation with significant fuel quality and biofuel project expertise as the Energy Council Operations Group’s co-lead for Airlines for America (A4A) and the vice-chairman of the Fuel Technical Committee—both positions led airline industry initiatives, and provided technical resources and manuals like ATA 103.

With a background in chemistry—having studied at the University of Arizona—Mr. Williams has extensive expertise in aviation biofuel projects, playing a role in the first flights using aviation biofuels in 2011 and biofuel feasibility studies that brought sustainable aviation fuels to the west coast in 2017. Further applying his chemistry expertise, Mr. Williams has served as a long-time member of ASTM: the fuel quality organization.
