Fueling the Future with Sustainable Solutions

The Avfuel team is committed to helping the industry reach its carbon neutrality goals. As part of this initiative, we offer our customers a voluntary carbon offset program for a small additional per gallon fee to help reach net zero by purchasing carbon credits that invest in green projects.  

Every carbon credit you purchase offsets approximately 100 gallons of jet fuel. Avfuel’s carbon credit calculator is based on an industry-standardized formula, measured in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the ISO 14064 Standard, and utilizing carbon dioxide emission coefficients as assigned by the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

What do my carbon credits fund?

Avfuel’s Carbon Offset Program provides mixed-allocation funding for forestry, wind power, solar power, surf and biomass projects. All projects meet the strict requirements of the Gold Standard, Verra or American Carbon Registry (ACR) to ensure full levels of due diligence and compliance. This means your carbon credit investment is certified to be genuine and ultimately feeds directly into the environmental project.

 Each carbon credit certificate will specify for which of the two projects above it was created.  Avfuel will provide customers with carbon offset documentation on a quarterly basis, which specifies the precise carbon offset serial numbers purchased.

How do I offset my carbon emissions?

You can choose to offset a flight every time you create an online fuel authorization with Avfuel, or you can elect to offset all your company’s purchases for all tails numbers or by specific tail number.
