City Receives Funding to Extend Runway
After 20 years of planning, the City of Lee’s Summit—one of the fastest growing regions in the U.S.—commenced the pavement project of its new runway to be completed by fall 2017. The expansion of the north/south runway to 5,500 feet will enable the airport to welcome a greater variety of bizav, which in turn will lead to a positive economic impact for the surrounding community.
