Avfuel Expands Branded FBO Network

AIN / Curt Epstein / February 6, 2017 - Global aviation fuel provider Avfuel has added several FBOs to its U.S. network, most notably the Castle &Cooke Aviation chain with its three locations in Honolulu; Everett, Washington; and its recently expanded location at Los Angeles-area Van Nuys Airport. “Our goal is to grow and strengthen the Avfuel network,” said Mark Haynes, vice president of sales for the Ann Arbor, Michigan-based company. “That means not just increasing the number of locations, but adding quality locations.”

Since 1980, the Castle & Cooke FBO chain has provided full-service jet-A and avgas fueling in support of its transient and based customers, along with hangar, office space and passenger terminals. “It's our mutual passion to serve customers with unparalleled care and attention that drew us to Avfuel, in addition to its track record for reliable fuel supply,” said Tony Marlow, Castle & Cooke's vice president of aviation operations and business development.

Another addition to the company’s more than 650 branded dealers is Rider Jet Center, the lone FBO at Maryland’s Hagerstown Regional Airport/Richard A. Henson Field. The family-owned location offers a brand-new spacious 10,000-sq-ft terminal with a pilots' lounge and snooze rooms, as well as 40,000 sq ft of heated hangar space. “Avfuel’s 100 percent dedication to aviation really stood out to us,” said FBO owner David Rider. “Its team values the same level of customer service as our operation, which is beneficial to both our FBO and our pilots and passengers.”
