ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN/ April 17, 2008/ AVIATION INDUSTRY NEWS/ Avfuel Corporation announced today that it has been voted the number one fuel brand in the United States for the third time by Professional Pilot (Pro Pilot) Magazine's 2008 PRASE (Preferences Regarding Aviation Services and Equipment) Survey. The PRASE Survey invites readers to rank various service categories such as FBOs, avionics and fuel brands. This is the ninth annual PRASE survey.
"Avfuel values this ranking because we realize that this honor is a reflection of the great job our dealers do representing the Avfuel brand in the field," says Avfuel Marketing Director, Marci Ammerman. According to Pro Pilot, only original ballots were accepted and questionable ballots were discarded. Voting was restricted to qualified subscribers — public relations and advertising personnel were ineligible. Indeed, Pro Pilot mailed ballots to a specific, targeted list of pilots in an effort to focus the survey specifically on users of FBO services. Pro Pilot reports receiving more useful comments this year than in previous years. According to Pro Pilot, aviation consultancy Conklin & de Decker Associates of Arlington TX analyzed the survey results independently.
