Aviation Center at Page Field in Fort Myers Joins Avfuel dealer Network

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Jan. 1, 2008 - Fort Myers, Fla. — Aviation Industry News/Avfuel Corporation announced today that the Aviation Center at Page Field General Aviation Airport (FMY) in Fort Myers, Fla. has joined its network of branded dealers. As part of this family of top fixed-base operators (FBOs), the Aviation Center will now offer customer programs like Avfuel Contract Fuel and AVTRIP.

Page Field, located in Fort Myers, has been recognized for high-quality facilities and flexible, thorough customer service with convenient access to popular destinations like Sanibel and Captiva islands as well as the rest of Florida's gulf coast. This airport, attractive to both leisure and business travelers due to low congestion and general aviation-only traffic, is the perfect gateway to this region known for its beautiful weather throughout the year.   Quick turns and expeditious arrival and departures are virtually guaranteed.  

At the Aviation Center, aircraft services include complimentary GPU, lavatory service and an ILS-equipped, 6,406 foot runway. Within the comfortable terminal, customers can enjoy complimentary coffee, popcorn, ice and newspapers every day. Catering is available, as well as onsite car rental.  The Aviation Center staff will arrange taxis, limos, hotels at special rates and anything else a customer needs.

Founded in 1927, the history-rich Page Field General Aviation Airport hosted fighter pilot training during World War II. Today, the Aviation Center is owned and operated by the Lee County Port Authority and hosts a more modern group of aircraft.  In 2006, Page Field accommodated more than 77,000 aircraft operations with over 300 aircraft based at Page Field full time.
