Premier Avfuel-branded fbo, ocean Aire, completes 20,000 square foot hangar

ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN/ AVFUEL INDUSTRY NEWS/ Ocean Aire, a premier FBO located on the R. J. Miller Airpark (MJX) near the New Jersey Coast, has just completed work on its new 20,000 square foot hangar.  Ocean Aire is an Avfuel-branded dealer located midway between New York City and Philadelphia, in Tom's River, New Jersey.  The area boasts the twin offerings of local beauty and convenient proximity to major centers of world commerce and business. 

The full-service FBO offers services including maintenance, repair and modification, avionics and a flight school.  It is currently seeking tenants for the hangar.  The airport boasts a 6,000 foot runway and full ILS - a feature most airports in the region do not have.  With a private, gated parking areas and available corporate offices, this FBO provides general aviation travelers with a full array of business tools, services and amenities for an enjoyable and productive journey.  A new terminal with a restaurant and pilot lounge are planned for completion in 2008.

Tim Boyd, co-owner of Ocean Aire, is optimistic about the airport's future: the two major airports in the New York metropolitan area are saturated with aircraft business, and the business aviation fleet at large is expanding at an accelerated rate.  "It's virtually impossible to find hangar space in the greater New York metropolitan area," he said.  "We have plenty of space here.  In addition to our new hangar, we have plenty of land to build additional hangars.  We are currently in discussions with several operators for space in the new hangar."

"We are able to offer a lot of advantages to the business aircraft operator," said Boyd.  "Since the airport is surrounded by pinelands, which are protected from development, we have no potential noise problems.  Also, our traffic is controlled by McGuire Air Force Base and not the New York TRACON, so we have few problems with delays."  The airport has excellent roads to the metropolitan NYC and Philadelphia.  Manhattan is approximately 35 minutes by Helicopter.  Boyd also explains that the local county offers both travelers of business and leisure a variety of reasons to stop in.  "We have affordable housing, a good school system, a low crime rate and excellent recreational facilities, including some of the best beaches in the state."
