Aviation Insurance is a highly technical arena with less than 7 major insurance underwriters. Only agents and brokers that specialize in Aviation Insurance deal directly with these underwriters.

• Select an agent or broker that specializes in Aviation Insurance.
• You should further refine your choice by identifying agents that write Commercial Aviation accounts versus those that write light aircraft for pleasure and business use.
• Select a single agent or broker to represent you. The agent you select should have access to all the aviation underwriters.
